Meet Amy…
“keep your face always towards the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you.”
- Walt whitman
Hi there! I’m Amy MacMullin, a Registered Psychologist with over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Although I work with all populations, working with children and their families is my passion. Many of the children I work with struggle with trauma, attachment concerns, anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges and difficulties with emotional regulation. Common concerns expressed from adults include stress management, life transitions, anxiety, depression, work-life balance and marital or family issues. I also have expertise in completing psychological and psychoeducational assessments privately as well as within the school system.
I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative conversation. It is always my goal to promote optimism and help clients successfully solve problems and overcome challenges. I strive to support clients to have a better sense of awareness, obtain more ways of coping and increase their overall feelings of well-being.
When I’m not working, I can be found playing and enjoying the outdoors with my husband and our two-year-old son.
