Meet Dallyce…
“I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship”
– Amy March, from Little Women
Hello!
My name is Dallyce, and I am excited to join daring greatly for my internship from Yorkville University. Over the past decade, I have served as a Behavioural Specialist, working closely with youth and their families across various settings. This experience has allowed me to offer crucial support in managing behaviour within schools, homes, and communities. My dedication stems from a deep-seated passion for enhancing the well-being of individuals of all ages, recognizing its pivotal role in leading a fulfilling life. Motivated by the significant influence that even one measure of support may have, I made the decision to pursue a degree in Yorkville University's Master of Counselling Psychology program.
My approach centers on tailoring therapy to meet each client's unique needs, drawing from a diverse range of techniques and methodologies. At the heart of my practice lies the cultivation of a nurturing therapeutic relationship characterized by empathy, respect, compassion, and trust. Creating a safe space where clients feel empowered to share their vulnerabilities is paramount to fostering meaningful progress.
Moreover, I firmly believe in harnessing the inherent expertise, experiences, and self-awareness of each client. Thus, I am committed to embarking on a collaborative journey, where we explore together the depths of meaning and strengths throughout the therapeutic process.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I lead a fulfilling life as a busy mom in a blended family, blessed with five children. Whenever time allows, I cherish moments spent outdoors, by the water's edge, alongside my adventurous family and our playful pup.
